Sydney Leathers, the young woman who gained national attention after it was revealed that she had been sexting former congressman Anthony Weiner in 2013, is taking a break from social media.

In a tweet published early Morning morning, Leathers wrote:

"[Expletive]'s getting weird (again) so I'm taking a break from Twitter & Instagram for a few days ✌"

"Weird," indeed.

The moratorium follows new revelations that Weiner continued his habit of sending sexually charged pictures to young women.

Leathers turned the scandal into a career in the adult entertainment industry. However, Weiner’s behavior has not nearly been as lucrative of a career choice for the former congressman. Following a 2011 nude photo scandal, he resigned from his seat in the House of Representatives ran unsuccessfully for mayor of New York City in 2013.

Today, it was announced that Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, a top aide to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, will be separating from Weiner.

Details of the new scandal broke Sunday evening when text messages surfaced showing that Weiner was sending sexually charged texts to another young brunette.

The most damning of the texts showed Weiner laying in bed wearing nothing but his boxer shorts while his five-year-old son, Jordan, was sleeping next to him in bed.

MRCTV attempted to contact Leathers regarding these allegation but has not received a response at this time.
