The Swedish Liberal People’s Party youth coalition is currently arguing for incest and necrophilia to be legalized, according to the Independent.

The party’s youth wing (LUF), based in Stockholm, voted on the morally corrupt motion this past Sunday.

The proposed law calls for the repeal of multiple pieces of legislation in order to allow consensual sex between siblings over the age of 15. The proposed laws would also allow for people to “bequeath” their dead bodies for intercourse by giving consent while they are still alive.

“I understand that [incest] can be considered unusual and disgusting, but the law cannot stem from it being disgusting,” said president of LUF Stockholm Cecilia Johnsson, 22, to Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet.

Johnsson continued:

"You should get to decide what happens to your body after you die, and if it happens to be that someone wants to bequeath their body to a museum or for research, or if they want to bequeath to someone for sex, then it should be okay."

The main arm of the Liberal People’s Party disagrees.

Party spokesperson Adam Alfredsson told the other tabloid newspaper in Sweden, Expressen, that “Incest is and should remain illegal. We think it will continue to be illegal to use a dead man’s body in [a sexual] way.”

No word yet on the progress of the motion.
