Music legend Stevie Wonder is throwing his star power behind the Democrats’ recent legislative attempts at hijacking our voting system. He’s now pushing their propaganda that people who oppose the party’s loosening of election laws are killing democracy and the Constitution itself.
Uh perhaps Mr. Wonder should open his eyes – er, wait.
In a new video posted to his official YouTube account, the “Sir Duke” singer berated senators who have refused to support Democrats’ election reforms, namely the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, which would loosen voting restrictions for Americans.
Sitting at his piano, Wonder faced the camera and said, “Any senator who cannot support the protection of voting rights in the United States of America, cannot say that they support the Constitution.” Oh Stevie, When you believe in things/That you don't understand/Then you suffer...
Wonder is addressing the lawmakers who won’t go along with the Democrat party’s radical, election security-rending voting reforms and calling them a threat to democracy. How does that work?
Democrats and radical lefties act as if their extreme voting reforms – which make it dangerously easy for ineligible people to vote – are supremely democratic because, who wouldn’t want to make it easier for more people to vote...or to cheat the process?
Too bad the reality is that in order to do so the legislation does crazy things like making it so that people don’t need to show ID in order to vote, or making it harder for individual states to purge their voter rolls of ineligible voters, as The Heritage Foundation’s Hons Von Spakovsky explained in late 2020.
Spakovsky’s piece made the charge that these specific reforms reveal that the Dems’ general aim is to “achieve partisan political gains rather than prevent racial discrimination.” Crying racism to fight securing elections to make cheating harder is the Left's major propaganda strategy.
Essentially they’re BS-ing us so that we can be cowed in letting them rig elections. Though In the video, Wonder claimed that conservatives and liberals who don’t like the agenda – Senators Manchin (D-WV) and Sinema (D-AZ) didn’t vote for the John Lewis Voting Act either – need to stop the BS.
“Stop the hypocrisy! Cut the bulltish! [sic] If you care and support our rights, do the hard work!” he demanded. This may be a case of the blind leading the blind. Everyone knows Dems just want to secure elections for themselves, so they’re changing the laws to stack the deck in their favor.
“You can’t please everyone, but you can protect all of us,” he stated, clearly because letting non-registered voters participate in elections really protects us all.
Wonder then concluded, “And to keep it all the way real, the filibuster is not working for Democracy. Why won’t you?”
Oh you mean the filibuster is not working for Democrats on passing these particular insane bills, so that’s why they want to get rid of it. Why can’t he just say the truth?
Stevie didn't just make this call to say I love you - he made it push falsehoods.
And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
