Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams labeled a bill protecting unborn children with detectable heartbeats from elective abortion “evil” and “abominable.”

Speaking to MSNBC host Joy Reid over the weekend, Abrams, a potential 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, slammed a recent bill passed by the Georgia state legislature that bans elective abortion once a fetal heartbeat has been detected, usually around the sixth or seventh week of pregnancy. The pro-life bill has been met with widespread outrage from the abortion lobby and Hollywood, including a slew of left-wing actors who’ve threatened to boycott the state if Gov. Brian Kemp signs the bill into law.

"I mean, this fetal heartbeat bill that was just signed...people are pretty appalled by the fact that he just signed what is, I think, the most restrictive anti-abortion bill in the country,” Reid began. “So you have some folks that are talking boycott and are saying Hollywood should boycott the state of Georgia. Films — we know The Walking Dead is shot down there — there are lots of television programs and movies that are shot in Atlanta. What do you make of these calls to boycott the state of Georgia?"

"I think it's a call to action and a call to attention," Abrams told Reid. "I do not actually support a boycott of our state. I think you re-victimize women in particular when you take away the jobs that have come to the state."

“You should not have to worry about your ability to control your bodily autonomy because the governor has pushed such an abominable and evil bill that is so restrictive,” Abrams continued. “It's not only bad for morality and our humanity, it's bad for business."

You read that right. According to Abrams, mandating that it be illegal to kill a distinct human being with its own discernible heartbeat is “abominable.” “Evil.” “Bad for morality.”

Not ejecting them through a forced miscarriage. Not poisoning them with saline, or vacuuming them through a tube, or dismembering them piece-by-piece with forceps, or injecting a suction device into their head to extract their brains and crush their skull.

Protecting the most innocent and vulnerable among us is, to leftists like Abrams, “abominable.”
