In light of a new CNN report that alleges U.S. officials have information that shows President Trump colluded with “suspected Russian operatives” to take down Hillary Clinton during the presidential campaign, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said there’s “probably more evidence” that CNN colluded with the Clinton campaign.

During his White House press briefing on Thursday, Spicer was asked, “CNN reported yesterday that U.S. officials believe—are investigating the associates of President Trump communicated with suspected Russian operatives to coordinate the release of information damaging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign. I’m wondering if you can respond to that or if you can say definitively that they deny it?”

“So, let’s actually look first at what CNN reported,” Spicer responded. “They reported that anonymous U.S. officials have told them that information indicates the association of the campaign and suspected operatives coordinated, which they admit is not conclusive of anything, is bordering on collusion.”

“The last line of the thing said, ‘The FBI cannot yet prove that collusion took place.’ I think there’s more, probably more evidence that CNN colluded with the Clinton campaign to give her debate questions than the Trump campaign gave any kind of collusion,” Spicer said.

“So I think when it comes down to that reporting," he continued, "it’s filled with a bunch of subjective terms about this person may have done this, possibly could have done that, and at the end of this story, if you wait till the very bottom, it says, ‘The FBI cannot yet prove that collusion took place.’ So I’ve addressed this type of reporting in the past, and this fits right in.”

Former CNN contributor and interim Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile leaked multiple questions to the Clinton campaign ahead of the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee's debates.

Brazile has since attempted to apologize for her mistake by blaming Russian hackers for her getting caught.
