South Carolina Woman Arrested After Claiming 'Jesus' Would Pay for Her Dinner Bill

A 51-year old South Carolina woman was arrested by Myrtle Beach police after she refused to pay for her seafood at a restaurant because she claimed that "Jesus" was going to pay her bill.

Police were called around 9:15 Sunday night after the patron, April Lee Yates, caused a disturbance with the other customers after her four hour stay at Bennett's Calabash Seafood Buffet Restaurant.

When police questioned Yates as to why she refused to pay, she responded by saying that she had no money, and had no intention of paying for the meal. She believed that "Jesus" would pay for her bill when the time came.

Myrtle Beach Police charged Yates with defrauding a restaurant.
