You know that annual report that Planned Parenthood releases every year? The one that breaks down exactly how many truckloads of cash the group gets from taxpayers?

The one that also shows how many babies lose their lives as part of their “women’s health care” agenda?

It turns out that Planned Parenthood, which aborts more than 320,000 babies while receiving more than half-a-billion taxpayer dollars annually, has yet to release their annual report for the past year. Based on their history, this multi-page synopsis of Planned Parenthood’s dealings – which has dwindled in length over time – is typically released between December and January.

For example, last year’s report, which covered the abortion group’s 2014-15 fiscal year, was published in late December. The report revealed that the nation’s largest single abortion provider performed 323,999 abortion procedures and raked in more than $553 million in government grants and reimbursements.

The year before, Planned Parenthood published its 2013-14 annual report on the last day in December, documenting another 327,653 abortions and a whopping $528.4 million in government funding.

The year before, the group released its 2012-13 annual report in mid-December.

But we’re now nearing the end of February 2017, and Planned Parenthood has yet to issue its 2015-16 annual report.

Now, as a “non-profit” entity, the group is legally required to disclose a Form 990, which includes details on how the organization receives and spends its money. But their annual reports, which include information like how many abortion procedures they performed, are voluntarily self-published, leading to speculation over whether Planned Parenthood plans to release this latest report at all.

It’s no secret that Planned Parenthood has been plagued with scandals over the past few years. Questions over their extravagant spending habits, allegations that the group is secretly involved in the illegal sale of fetal tissue, and revelations that the organization is openly lying to women about their prenatal services have all been levied by pro-life advocates (myself included), chipping away at Planned Parenthood’s false façade as a caring, pro-woman organization.

Despite the media's best defenses, Republicans in Congress are now moving to strip the group of its Medicaid reimbursements, while also voting down an Obama-era rule that prohibited states from withholding federal funding from groups like Planned Parenthood that provide abortion services.

There’s also been talk of taking the Hyde Amendment from being a rider attached to each year’s spending bill and making it into its own separate law, which would permanently ban taxpayer dollars from funding abortions.

In the face of these much-needed reforms, perhaps it’s no wonder Planned Parenthood, a group whose very existence relies on their ability to deceive the public, doesn’t exactly want us peeking under their couch cushions.
