It's being reported by CNN's Brian Stelter that the outlet's president, Jeff Zucker, is resigning his post. The news was corroborated by Zucker, who released a statement on Wednesday through the Stelter report.
As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo's tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years. I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn't. I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today.
For a refresher, former CNN host Chris Cuomo was fired by the outlet after it was discovered that he was helping his brother, now-former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, while investigations were ongoing concerning allegations of sexual harassment.
While the Zucker statement didn't disclose the name of the employee he was or is still in a relationship with, Stelter outed the other party as CNN Chief Marketing Officer Allison Gollust.
