Honestly, this article isn’t about polarizing Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) even though it revolves around the freshman congressman. This is more about the hypocrisy of both the entertainment industry and the Alphabet Mafia, otherwise known as the LGBTQ community.
This past weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” saw the show’s cold open make fun of Santos, which is fine since no politician should be above occasional mockery, but the way they made fun of the man — while funny — would’ve been reviled had Santos been a Democrat.
Let’s not mince words here — cast member Bowen Yang used a thick gay accent to portray Santos and then showed up later in the sketch in drag, alluding to Santos’ reported “history as a drag queen,” as the New York Post put it.

Put it this way, President Joe Biden’s son Hunter is a crackhead who cheated on his brother’s widow with a stripper and impregnated her and either sold or lost a laptop in which he had many videos of himself naked while high. Not to mention, the younger Biden had many questionable business interactions in highly corrupt countries like China and Ukraine.
SNL sketches about any of that? None that I’m aware of following a quick search on YouTube. They wouldn’t dare.
Again, this is not an article defending Santos, because politicians write their own jokes through their own stupidity. But, the double standard is clear.
