Singer Raffi: Hey, We Need To Indoctrinate More Children To Keep Global Warming Going

Joe Schoffstall | February 2, 2011

An op-ed was just penned by Canadian advocate, entertainer, and children's singer Raffi and published by the Huffington Post calling for the indoctrination of more kids when it comes to 'global warming'. Yes, he seriously calls for that. Could this be admittance the only hope global warming alarmists have left is to brainwash the young since their plans have basically hit a brick wall? Raffi wrote:

Climate change is not one among many issues, it is the crisis, the greatest threat on Earth, the cumulative damage that has no partial remedy. It's best addressed with systems change, beginning with belief systems learned very early. To cut pollution and GHG emissions for good, change personal belief systems. Start young. To grow Earth stewards, steward the children and youth. This is where the restoration must focus--strategically and morally. Not only do kids get sustainability, they have the most to lose or gain.

This is nothing new. I don't even know why he's writing about it, as it's been a backbone of the power-hungry environmentalists for decades now. Sensationalism before facts. "Hey, let's talk about how global warming is killing all of these cute little polar bears. Kids will be devastated and HATE global warming. They'll grow up to be the next generation of planet-saving Gore's." Unfortunately, the tactics called upon by Raffi do work as shown by these indoctrinated school-children. You see that? Kids actually believe they're going to drown to death because of global warming alarmists. This is what Raffi is calling for more of. So-called 'facts' like polar bears are dying all over the place because of 'global warming' actually resonate and scare children- especially when the fact of the matter is the number of polar bears is actually increasing. CNN even researched it after a confrontation between Phelim McAleer, the director and producer of Not Evil Just Wrong, and Al Gore. They did a little fact-checking and even say the number of polar bears have "dramatically increased" since the 1950's. Calling for the indoctrination of children to advance an agenda that was on top of the world just two years ago seems a little heartless to me. An outcry of desperation at its finest. Here's a little taste of Raffi's global warming song "Cool It". WARNING: The song is absolutely horrid.

Ezra Dulis over at Big Hollywood also writes on this Raffi op-ed:

Longer answer:  poor Raffi is feeling victory slip through his fingers.  It’s 2011, and if he hasn’t heard of Climategate by now (which puts to rest the lie that climate scientists are impartial and objective),  he’s probably noticed how many more people are becoming skeptics puppets of Big Oil as more and more information comes out about climate change, the bullying and apocalyptic exaggeration of its prominent researchers, and the massive profits that cap and trade proponents stand to gain if they get their way.  As the number of studies contesting the conclusions of anthropogenic global warming (AGW) alarmists increases, true believers like Raffi see the vindication for their vain self-righteousness slipping away, and with their backs against the wall, their true colors begin to show.
