I don’t watch the Simpsons. As a general rule, I think it’s ridiculously stupid. Sorry.
That aside, the infamously irreverent adult cartoon recently aired an episode I can officially get behind – one that openly mocked moronic crybaby college students who'd rather parade around campus in nipple-holed t-shirts stained with fake period blood while decrying the binary cisgendered patriarchy than do things like, say, LEARN HISTORY.
In the episode, a generous benefactor shows up at Yale University prepared to write the Ivy League school a big fat check.
“I’d like to endow a Department of Nuclear Plant Management,” he states.
“Wonderful! Of course, we can’t do nuclear,” a school official responds.
“Our students are highly entitled wusses,” another employee chimes in.
The first guy suggests, instead, that the donor put his money toward “identifying a chair in the non-narrative cinema of self-identified pansexuals.”
“We also need more deans to decide which Halloween costumes are appropriate,” the second adds.
“Eight deans should do it,” the first agrees, just before a bunch of entitled “students” show up with a whole new list of demands.
The whole exchange is deliciously mocking, refreshingly non-P.C., and just plain hilarious. I desperately hope it triggers someone.
