A Senate report released last week shows former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden accepted $3.5 million from the wife of a fired mayor of Moscow in 2014. Joe Biden continues to deny its validity.

The joint report released by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee with the Senate Finance Committee, Rosemont Seneca, an investment firm co-founded by Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina in 2014 while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president.

The NY Post reports:

The report — which relies in part on information contained in 14 “confidential” reports — alleges that Hunter Biden and other Biden family members “cashed in” on Joe Biden’s vice presidency through a “vast financial network that connected them to foreign nationals and foreign governments across the globe.”

In addition to his Burisma board seat, the report says, Hunter Biden profited from a “financial relationship” that he and associate Devon Archer had with Russia’s richest woman, Elena Baturina, former wife of the late Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

In 2014, Baturina wired $3.5 million to a bank account held by Rosemont Seneca Thornton, an investment firm co-founded by Hunter Biden, the report says.

“None of that is true,” Biden said at Tuesday night’s debate when asked about it.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer George Mesires has said Biden did not get $3.5 million and that the report has a key error.

The leftist media hasn’t given much coverage the issue, prompting Don Trump Jr. to tell Newsmax,  “They called everything that my father and my family has done for the last four years ‘Russia collusion’ – there’s no actual proof of that. But now you have a check for $3.5 million from a Russian oligarch with direct ties to Vladimir Putin, no understanding of what that could possibly be for, while Joe Biden was vice-president. The silence from the media is deafening.”
