After word broke Sunday night that SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas had been admitted to the hospital for flu-like symptoms and an infection, the left wasted no time digging his grave and celebrating his potentially life-threatening illness.
I sure hope a certain thing happens.

Mmm. Think I’ll keep my thoughts (hopes/dreams) to myself, lest I be banned from Twitter for life.

Clarence, this is the moment you can make the world a better place ... by leaving it. pic.twitter.com/TcpM68hkHc

And there are countless more like it.
While many are speculating – and celebrating – that Thomas has COVID, an official SCOTUS announcement said Thomas is receiving treatment with intravenous antibiotics, which suggests an infection.
Unfortunately for those already writing Thomas’ obituary and carving his headstone, the statement claimed Thomas is on the mend and is still very much an active member of the Court.
“His symptoms are abating, he is resting comfortably, and he expects to be released from the hospital in a day or two. Justice Thomas will participate in the consideration and discussion of any cases for which he is not present on the basis of the briefs, transcripts, and audio of the oral arguments.

Sounds like Thomas will be sticking around at least a little longer.
