Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) likes to say the word “fight” but can’t say a name that represents leadership for the Democratic Party.

When asked who the leader of the party was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Thursday, the best Warren could come up with was:

"The grassroots, I mean, you can either get in front of it and call it a parade, or you can stand to the side and be left behind."

The question was followed up, “I mean specifically - somebody either there in that building behind you (the Capitol), or somebody who is going to lead the (Democratic) party to electoral victory.”

Despite Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski encouraging her to “Say me, Senator Warren, say me,” Warren gave no names.

But there was a lot of “fight” in her non-answer to the question.

Warren replied that Democrats were “fighting our fights” on the GOP tax bill. Eloquently adding, “we are in this fight, it is an intense fight, we need to fight this fight right now.”
