Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Democrats were not celebrating after the failure of the so-called “skinny repeal” bill proposed by Republicans, but some images have surfaced indicating otherwise.

“I would say to my dear friend the majority leader, we are not celebrating,” Schumer said on the Senate Floor Friday morning. “We are relieved, that millions and millions of people who would have been so drastically hurt by the three proposals put forward will at least retain their healthcare.”

Images of Senators Schumer and Elizabeth Warren (D- Mass.) taking selfies with each other and video of Warren taking photos with celebrating Obamacare supporters have since surfaced following the failure of the latest Obamacare repeal effort in the Senate.

The "skinny" repeal amendment was the Republicans’ last best hope to get something passed, after "repeal-and-replace" and "straight-repeal" amendments failed.

The Senate rejected the "skinny" bill on a vote of 49-51. Republican Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) joined Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) as the trio of Republicans joined Democrats in rejecting the measure.
