Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has consistently condemned criticism from the President, saying his comments have led to death threats and bigotry. But Omar seems to have no issue with violent rhetoric when it’s used against Republican lawmakers.
In a video from Breitbart News, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) had a few words to share about what Rep. Omar has recently been saying about America:
I'm in a town where a lot of people are refugees...Ive never heard one of them say America was a terrible place, or be unappreciative of our country.
He said that America and its citizens gave her and her family a new life with social welfare benefits - and yet she still demonizes America. He then said he would help to provide Omar a ticket to Somalia so she could visit and appreciate everything America has done for her and her family.
.@RandPaul on @IlhanMN: "I’m willing to contribute to buy her a ticket to visit #Somalia... she can look and maybe learn a little bit about the disaster that is Somalia." “After she’s visited Somalia she might come back and appreciate America more.” https://t.co/g4Hmw0J1HH pic.twitter.com/RKjSASWbne

Omar did not directly respond as of yet to Sen. Paul’s comments but she did re-tweet Tom Arnold, famed anti-Trump actor, who clearly justified the attack that was committed against Sen. Paul back in 2017.
Shameful behavior from one of the LEADING voices & faces of the dem party. Why is @IlhanMN retweeting this abhorrent tweet? We should never tolerate violence or promote it! @IlhanMN @TomArnold pic.twitter.com/mDh3Lb9LsL

For a Congresswoman who lambasts the Republican party for supposed violent rhetoric, Rep. Omar seems to hold herself to a different standard.
