Another congressman has risen to Ted Cruz’s defense.
Utah Senator Mike Lee wrote to his colleagues in the House of Representatives yesterday, directing their attention to House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s accusations of murder against Senator Ted Cruz. He recommended that Congress demand an apology from Ocasio-Cortez, and possibly censure her regardless of her reaction.

Dear Colleagues,
It has come to my attention that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent out a tweet a few hours ago in which she accused one of our colleagues — twice — of attempted murder. (I have attached a link below). This is neither acceptable nor excusable. I believe that, as a conference, we should immediately and publicly call on her to retract her statement and apologize. If she refuses to do so — and perhaps even if she doesn’t — I think she should be admonished or censured by the House. This is not acceptable.
If you disagree with me on this, I would sincerely welcome your feedback. But it violates every instinct in me to sit back and do nothing in response to such an accusation. Especially at a moment like this one, we really shouldn’t ignore it.
Best wishes,
Mike
