Republican Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday had some colorful remarks to describe the conspiracy surrounding American financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s death.

Kennedy while questioning Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Kathleen Hawk Sawyer urged the director to “tell the American people what happened.”

“Christmas ornaments, drywall and Jeffrey Epstein - name three things that don’t hang themselves,” he said. “That’s what the American people think ... and they deserve some answers."

The notorious pedophile was found dead in his New York Metropolitan Correctional Center jail cell Aug. 10. His death was initially reported as a suicide but a number of suspicious circumstances have cast doubt on that determination, including how his broken neck bones were more consistent with a homicide as opposed to a suicide and how the two prison guards who were on duty at the time of his death left Epstein alone for hours when they were mandated to check on him.

Sawyer revealed during his testimony that “the FBI is involved” and are looking at whether a “criminal enterprise” had a role in Epstein’s death.

The two prison guards that were supposed to be checking on Epstein were arrested and charged on Tuesday “with making false records and conspiring to make false records and to defraud the United States by impairing the lawful functions of the Metropolitan Correctional Center, the New York facility where Epstein was found dead on Aug. 10, prosecutors announced,” Fox News reported.
