Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) in an interview with Fox News on Friday said that whether or not Judge Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice, “there are no winners.”

Kennedy explained that both Kavanaugh and his accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford have been done a disservice in this confirmation process.

He said that by “this time tomorrow night,” if confirmed, Kavanaugh will not “feel like a winner.”

In any case, “Dr. Ford and her family will not feel like a winner,” either, he said.

“There are no winners,” said Kennedy. “I'll bet you this time tomorrow night Judge Kavanaugh, who I think will be confirmed ... he won't feel like a winner. I bet Dr. Ford and her family will not feel like a winner, and it all could have been avoided if Senator Feinstein had just turned over Dr. Ford’s anonymous note, request for confidentiality to us.”

“We could have investigated without the intergalactic freak show,” he went on. “It’s very, very sad, but there are no winners.”

Kavanaugh is expected to be confirmed when the Senate holds its final vote this Saturday after Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), and Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) announced on Friday that they intend to vote “yes” on his confirmation.
