Please, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah). Tell us how you really feel?
In one of the funnier comments by a politician in recent memory, Hatch called out Obamacare supporters at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) on Thursday. Hatch said that if you still support the Affordable Care Act (ACA) "you are one of the stupidest, dumbass people I've ever met."
Here's video of Hatch's comments (Video begins at 19:00):
Hatch could be heard repeatedly calling Obamacare a "tax" - which is a popular sentiment among opponents of the ACA. Essentially, the ACA was put in place to tax the middle class without actually having to say 'we're going to tax the middle class.' I guess the fact that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) was in charge of collecting fines from people who didn't sign up for Obamacare before the individual mandate was repealed wasn't enough of a clue for supporters of the legislation.
Judging by his words, it certainly seems that Hatch believes in truth in advertising.
