Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) quickly took to Twitter Sunday to attack the NRA shortly following the news of a shooting at a Jacksonville, Fla. gaming tournament.

“I’m heartbroken for Jacksonville. No community should have to suffer from such senseless gun violence. When will Congress have the courage to stand up to the NRA and pass meaningful reforms to help prevent these shootings in America?” Durbin tweeted.

durbytweetDurbin didn’t elaborate on the “meaningful reforms” that he feels would have stopped the criminal from breaking the law at the gun-free zone where the qualifying rounds for the video game tournament were held.

Three people including the shooter died in the incident.
