If you’re holding a press conference and only one person has a question after you’re done speaking, it should be pretty easy to give a straightforward answer, shouldn't it? Is there a reason you couldn’t answer a question that isn’t even about you?

Someone should ask Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) that last question, because he really didn’t want to answer the one question he was asked on Thursday towards the end of a press conference, specifically about the “controversy” surrounding Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

Take a look:

It really seems that Booker was taken by surprise by the reporter’s first few words of her question, because Booker barely let her get out Omar’s name before cutting her off and essentially ending the press conference.

Omar has been under fire since assuming office for past and current questionable comments that some, including President Donald Trump, are calling anti-Semitic.

However, CNN political reporter Rebecca Buck tweeted out an exchange between Booker and fellow CNN reporter Sarah Mucha in which Booker addressed the Omar situation with a "yeah, but" answer.

Here’s Buck tweet of the Booker interaction:

In the end, it looks like Booker let the elevator door do his talking.
