Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) took to Twitter Monday to encourage the completion of the construction of a wall at the southern border.

In a posted video Blackburn says, while the border patrol apprehend 3.6 million people at the border, it is the ones they don't catch that are the most concerning.

"But what worries the Border Patrol and us are the 'gotaways' - they're the ones they can see on the video but they cannot get to them. This is why they tell you they need better technology along with a wall," Blackburn said.

Blackburn not only has concerns about the lack of a border wall but also "sanctuary cities." She and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) recently sent a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas requesting information about where illegal immigrants are choosing to go, and what cities they are listing as part of a “current address,” once they receive a Notice To Appear.

“We are deeply concerned that sanctuary jurisdictions are serving as a pull factor for illegal immigrants and for criminal aliens. This failure to comply with federal law creates an incentive for illegal immigrants to travel to the United States and avoid accountability by moving to sanctuary jurisdictions,” the letter says.
