Groundhog Day is upon us! The wild and illustrious Robert Mueller has finally shown himself to the public, letting us know if there will be six more weeks of non-stop calls for impeachment or if the overplayed rhetoric will stop early.
It is looking like it is going to be six more weeks of impeachment-speak.
After Mueller’s statements, as MRCTV’s Nick Kangadis points out, the reactions couldn’t have been more varied between the left and the right.
Unsurprisingly, in fact, Democratic politicians seem to have ramped up their calls for impeachment, as clearly, Mueller giving a simple recap of his report was him secretly urging them to act.
Robert Mueller’s statement makes it clear: Congress has a legal and moral obligation to begin impeachment proceedings immediately.— Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) May 29, 2019
Mueller made clear Trump is NOT exonerated and that AG Barr is a liar. Mueller did his job now it's time for Congress to do its job. No more hiding behind the special counsel. Enough is enough. Robert Mueller made it clear that the OLC opinion prevented him from indicting the President for obstruction. Trump will continue to stymie Congressional investigations. It is time for the House to open an impeachment inquiry.— Senator Mazie Hirono (@maziehirono) May 29, 2019
There must be consequences, accountability, and justice. The only way to ensure that is to begin impeachment proceedings.— Beto O'Rourke (@BetoORourke) May 29, 2019
What Robert Mueller basically did was return an impeachment referral. Now it is up to Congress to hold this president accountable.— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) May 29, 2019
We need to start impeachment proceedings. It's our constitutional obligation.
