Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is attempting to push a soft-on-crime agenda that would refuse to prosecute criminals for offenses like driving with a suspended license, shoplifting and minor possession of alcohol.

Wu is also pushing for the abolishment of the gang registry, as well as noncitizens voting in Boston's local elections, according to an article by Fox News.

Before she became mayor, Wu was required to fill out a Candidate Questionnaire from Progressive Massachusetts, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that collects the answers and ranks how progressive the elected officials are.

The agenda she’s pushing shows the lack of support she has for police officers, as she would be restricting what they can and cannot arrest people for. She believes that police officers should not be allowed to use tear gas, rubber bullets and/or attack dogs.

The following is one of the questions Wu was asked:

"Do you believe that affiliation or sympathies with white supremacist organizations among officers is a problem with BPD? YES/ NO If so, what measures would you take as mayor to combat that issue?”

She would not hesitate to reference January 6th, which she saw as an attack by a white supremacy group.

"Yes. I have advocated for terminating any [Boston Police Department] employees who were involved with the January 6th Capitol insurrection," Wu said.

Unsurprisingly, many cities have accused Wu of not being inclusive to white people after she sent out an email in December that had invitations to a non-white holiday party for non-white members of the city council.

"Honorable members: On behalf of Mayor Michelle Wu, I cordially invite you and a guest to the Electeds of Color Holiday Party,” the invitation read.

This is yet another example of a Democratic mayor pushing policies that would potentially harm people in a city where they should feel safe.
