Chuck Schumer has the answer to the nation's declining birthrate and the fact that your favorite restaurant doesn't have enough waiters to work the dinner shift: amnesty.

As in, amnesty for about 11 million people living in the United States in open, willful violation of our immigration laws. According to the Democrat lawmaker from New York, granting a pardon and immediate legalization to millions of undocumented people will almost surely solve the worker crisis faced by many American industries post-pandemic (and if it also green-lights them for all kinds of tax-funded welfare programs, oh well).

In fact, not only is it the best path forward, Schumer suggests, it's the only one.

"Now more than ever, we're short of workers," the senator said Wednesday. "We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it's used to."

"The only way we're going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the DREAMers, and all of them. Because our ultimate goal is to help the DREAMers but get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many undocumented there are here," he continued.

Let me just get this straight, here: one of the highest-ranking Democrat lawmakers in the U.S. openly believes that the only way to move this country forward is to supplant his own population with illegal aliens, starting with millions of people - or, as he puts it, "however many" - who've spent years living in the United States unlawfully by granting them condition-free pardons.

Then again, the leader of Schumer's party is a president whose allowed our Southern border to spew like a busted fire hydrant. So it's likely that 11 million or so is just the beginning - and that's the plan.
