Fresh off a demotion that has at least temporarily stripped him of his 10 p.m. airtime on CNN, anchor and leftist shill Don Lemon tried desperately to tie Hurricane Ian with climate change, only to get shut down by one of the feds’ top hurricane experts.

And handily remind everyone why he got booted from his primetime slot in exchange for a viewer-less morning gig.

Speaking on the storm’s intensifying ahead of making landfall on Florida’s coast, Lemon on Tuesday demanded of NOAA's Hurricane Center Director Jamie Rohme, “Can you tell us what this is and what affect climate change has on this phenomenon?”

Because, as we all know, strong hurricanes are a completely new spectacle in… South Florida?

“We can come back and talk about climate change at a later time, I want to focus on the here and now,” Rohme responded, moving on to explain that the hurricane isn’t expected to get any worse than it already is.

“Listen, I’m just trying to get that you said you wanted to talk about climate change, but what effect does climate change have on this phenomenon that is happening now? Because it seems these storms are intensifying,” Lemon pressed.

“I don’t think you can link climate change to any one event,” Rohme answered.

“On the whole, on the cumulative, climate change may be making storms worse. But to link it to any one event, I would caution against that,” he concluded.

“Well, listen, I grew up there, and these storms are intensifying. And something is causing them to intensify,” a visibly frustrated Lemon shot back before moving on.

Leftist climate pushers have spent the past several days bending over backward to link Hurricane Ian to global warming, politicizing Floridians’ fears even before the storm hit the coast. Earlier on Tuesday, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar suggested that electing Democrats and supporting their multi-trillion-dollar green agenda would actually stop hurricanes.
