During Wednesday night's Univision-CNN Democratic presidential debate, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders threatened to use his executive power if elected president to grant amnesty to the more than 11 million illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States.

“What I believe right now is not only that we need comprehensive immigration reform… If the Congress does not do its job, as President of the United States, I will use the executive powers of that office to do what has to be done, to do what President Obama did and expand on that,” said Sanders.

Both Clinton and Sanders pushed comprehensive immigration reform and a path to citizenship for illegals throughout the Democratic debate in Miami, Fla.
