Sanders Shooing Wife During Victory Speech Slammed as Evidence of ‘Sexism’

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders is being labeled sexist after a video shows him allegedly shooing his wife, Jane, off stage during his victory speech Saturday.

At the beginning of his speech celebrating his primary victories, Sanders is seen waving his wife away as he tells her, “Don’t stand there” [note: graphic language in the title of the video]:

Jane appears perplexed trying to find a different place to stand.

Supporters of rival Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton have long tried to criticize Sanders for his alleged sexism. Sanders’ arm wave towards his wife has been compared to the allegedly “sexist” shushing of Clinton at a Democratic debate on March 6.

Sanders’ actions towards his wife have even led the Inquisitr’s Paula Mooney to ask, “Could it cost Bernie the presidency?”

The waving away incident comes after Fusion profiled Jane as Bernie’s right-hand woman.
