Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders embarrassed CBS News Wednesday night with one simple tweet in response to the network’s report that she is considering leaving the White House.
“Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future,” Sanders asked in her tweet.
Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future? I was at my daughter’s year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my “plans to leave the WH” without even talking to me. I love my job and am honored to work for @POTUS— Sarah Sanders (@PressSec) June 14, 2018
The report states that Sanders told her friends she plans to leave the White House at the end of the year. Additionally, it contains rumors about the leave of deputy press secretary Raj Shah, who reportedly has not specified a date.
Neither members of the Trump administration responded for comment on the CBS story; however Sanders went on to humiliate the network on Twitter.
“I was at my daughter’s year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my ‘plans to leave the WH’ without even talking to me,” she continued in her tweet. “I love my job and am honored to work for the @POTUS,” she concluded.
CBS has left their report up, adding Sanders’ tweet.
Fox News has reported that Sanders and Shah are “weighing future options,” but mentioned it is not clear if that includes leaving the White House or not.
Sanders was promoted to White House secretary in July 2017 after Sean Spicer’s resignation, and Raj Shah was promoted to deputy press secretary last September.
