To-may-to? To-mah-to? Let’s just call the whole thing hilarious.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel attended a campaign event in Heidelberg in the South of Germany Tuesday, and anti-immigration protesters treated her like a lousy comedian.

According to Bloomberg:

Police are investigating after German Chancellor Angela Merkel was hit on the left hip by bits of a tomato during a campaign stop, an unusually rough moment in a campaign that has been punctuated by occasional vociferous protests.

Two tomatoes were thrown, one splattering moderator Claudia von Brauchitsch at the rally in Heidelberg, a university city in southern Germany, Germany’s DPA press agency reported. Merkel appeared unruffled by the incident and offered von Brauchitsch a tissue.

The event drew a crowd of about 3,000 people, including a small contingent of protesters who “jeered and blew whistles” while calling Merkel a “liar” and “betrayer of her people.” Merkel is seeking a fourth term to her post as chancellor, with parliamentary elections to be held Sept. 24.

A growing number of Germans feel betrayed by Merkel, given her apparent need to allow as many refugees and migrants into “Deutschland” as her Socialist/globalist vision of Utopia will permit.

As MRCTV previously reported, unrest among the German people is at an all-time high after Merkel has enabled “more than a million” migrants to enter the country.

If these “run-by fruitings” continue, at least Merkel will have enough tomatoes to make salads for all the people she’s letting into Germany.
