"It's President Trump who should receive the Nobel Prize. We only need to take peace," South Korean President Moon Jae-in said in a letter, according to an NPR translator.
Officials later confirmed the translation to NPR.
Moon’s statement echoes what President Donald Trump has heard from his own supporters. During a rally in Michigan on Saturday the crowd burst into a chant of “Nobel! Nobel!” when the president discussed the peace talks on the Korean Peninsula.
After being technically at war for over six decades, if a lasting peace can be reached in the region it is possible that a Nobel Peace Prize may be awarded as a result.
It would be fun to see the liberal media meltdown if President Trump was recognized with the honor Moon suggests. The media reaction could be priceless.
