Leading into the Republican presidential candidate debate on Wednesday, Florida senator Marco Rubio made a Tuesday night appearance on Fox News’ “The Kelly File.”
In light of the hype surrounding celebrity candidate Donald Trump and his close competitor Dr. Ben Carson, Rubio reminded the media that the race for the White House is and should be treated as a "serious endeavor."
“In the end, this is not a game show,” he said. “It’s not a production.”
“It is, in fact, deciding the most important political office in the world,” Rubio made clear.
“You’re deciding the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful military and the leader of the most powerful country on the planet,” Rubio continued. “That’s a serious endeavor.”
Rubio said that he hopes to use Wednesday’s CNN GOP debate as an opportunity to tell Americans about himself and what he would do as president of the United States.
