Rose McGowan SLAMS 'Cult' Democrats For Biden Hypocrisy: 'This Is Deeper Than a Cover-Up'

Several days after berating fellow Charmed actress Alyssa Milano for continuing to support Joe Biden despite sexual assault allegations made against him, Rose McGowan, a defender of the #MeToo movement, expressed disgust at the entire Democrat Party for their hypocrisy in defending the former vice president.

“I used to be a proud Democrat…I was raised to be a proud Democrat,” McGowan wrote on Twitter.

I was always told it was the Democratic Party that were the good guys,” she continued.

“I feel really quite a sense of loss tonight. I am not a cynical person but America g*dd*mn. Republicans have always been painted as the bad guys and I’ve always seen them more as a cult, but now I realize so are the [D]emocrats and the media,” McGowan said.

"This is deeper than a cover up,” she finished.

McGowan, one of the original champions of the #MeToo movement in Hollywood, has earned at least some credit over the past several weeks for calling out her fellow liberals for their hypocrisy on the topic of sexual assault allegations, pointing out the double standard between the left's reaction to SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who was accused of sexually assaulting a woman back in college, and how they've dismissed allegations against Biden made by a former staffer who’s accused him of assaulting her when she worked for him back in the 1993.

Unlike the Kavanaugh case, Tara Reade’s story went largely ignored by the liberal media for weeks, until footage unearthed by the Media Research Center and widespread calls for coverage forced them to give at least marginal airtime to the scandal.

But that doesn’t mean all those on the left are ready and willing to talk about it – including Biden himself, who has thus far refused to address Reade’s allegations publicly. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday fired back at a reporter who dared ask her why Democrats have stood by Biden after holding Kavanaugh to a different standard, telling the reporter, “I don’t need a lecture or a speech" and saying simply that "Joe Biden is Joe Biden."
