Actor Roger Moore, who gained fame as James Bond in seven feature films, has passed away at age 89.
Moore professed a belief in God and called death “a big adventure” in a BBC interview in 2014.
“Do you have a religious faith at all?” an 86 year-old Moore was asked.
“Well yes,” Moore responded. “I was asked by a dialogue director once in California, ‘Do you believe in God?’"
"I said yes. I believe in an intelligence, I believe that we are created for some purpose.”
The reporter later asks, “You mentioned that you do have a belief in something, in some god, does that help when you become ill?”
“I don’t think I’m frightened,” Moore replied. “I think it’s going to be a big adventure. You get to find out – actually nobody has ever come back to tell us.”
Moore died of cancer in Switzerland on Tuesday.
