Ricky Gervais just made everyone reeeeeeally uncomfortable.
And by “everyone,” I mean the entire elitist Hollywood audience at the Golden Globes.
And by “made them uncomfortable,” I mean “hit them in the face with truth bombs." That they really, really didn't like hearing.
Gervais, known for being pro-free speech, anti-P.C. and for pushing back on militant trans activism, used his platform as the (very unpredictable) host of the annual awards show to take a few well-aimed jabs at his fellow Tinsel Town occupants – including a Jeffrey Epstein joke that didn’t go over so well with his listeners.

And he certainly didn’t stop there. Gervais also took a moment to lecture his captive audience on their own self-righteous political grandstanding.

“I mean, the companies that you work for, Apple, Amazon, Disney…if ISIS started a streaming service, you would call your agents, wouldn't you?” he said. "So if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to give a political speech. You’re in no place to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg. So, if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent and your God, and f*** off.”
