Morning news anchor Leeann Tweeden of TalkRadio 790 KABC in Los Angeles just released an image of Democratic Sen. Al Franken groping her breasts while she was asleep.
Tweeden documented the run-up to the encounter in an article on the KABC website where she stated that Franken allegedly “aggressively stuck his tongue” in the reporter’s mouth while practicing for an acting segment meant to entertain troops overseas in December 2006.
She stated:
I walked away. All I could think about was getting to a bathroom as fast as possible to rinse the taste of him out of my mouth.
I felt disgusted and violated.
Twitter users on both the left and the right have been quick to call out Franken’s hypocrisy concerning his claims to “respect women’s freedoms.”
Al Franken today: "It was clearly intended to be funny but wasn't."

It's a good thing "Al Franken" believes sexual assault victims deserve their day in court. Hope he has a nice suit to wear to his hearing. pic.twitter.com/NXJSzrVgVu

This evidence seems irrefutable, the other alleged conduct seems indefensible, and @alfranken’s silence already seems interminable. If we have to purge our elected officials of all those guilty of this - left or right, good or bad - so be it. https://t.co/Qaa3IlwKHG

Some have even called for Franken's resignation.
Yo, Mitt Romney, Mitch McConnell, and Susan Collins,

I expect all 3 of you to call for the immediate resignation of Al Franken.#AlFranken
Franken has already responded to the allegations, sending his “sincerest apologies. He stated, “I certainly don’t remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann,As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn't. I shouldn't have done it.”
Critics of his response claim that his apology does not go far enough.
