James Madison warned:

“A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive, will not long be safe companions to liberty.”

Imagine standing with your neighbors at North Bridge, in Concord, Massachusetts, at 8 AM, on April 19, 1775...

Royal British Governor and General Thomas Gage has sent a force of 700 men from Boston, through Lexington, where, three hours earlier, his troops killed seven in their zeal to confiscate your firearms, and now, they point their government-backed guns at you.

Consider their sheer breach of rights, their egotism, their deadly hubris and conceit… before returning to 2022.

Today, one of its standing armies, the US Government’s constitution-insulting Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATF, BATFE, or ATF) shoves your tax cash into the wallets of 2,890 armed “Special Agents” -- four-times more men than those comprising Gage’s oppressive force.

And, as if tracking people and trying to take their guns weren’t enough, the IRS tax machine handed that “bureau” (which, last year totaled 5,744 positions, including 84 highly paid attorneys) $1.67 billion in OUR money during the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

Now, consider this new revelation…

AmmoLand Shooting Sports News claims that, acting ON THEIR OWN, certain ATF agents recently categorized a number of “Forced Reset Triggers” (used mostly for AR-15 rifles) as “automatic weapons.” Agents then gained access to sales info on many people who had purchased the triggers, and armed ATF thugs showed up at private dwellings, telling people to hand the triggers over, or suffer legal consequences.

The ATF didn’t even wait for the obnoxious cover of a Biden decree. The agents just “went for it” and marched on modern-day Americans who own these triggers, most manufactured by Rare Breed, and known by that nickname.

On August 18 Ammoland reported:

“The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has visited multiple people demanding that the individuals turn over their Rare Breed FRT-15 triggers. The gun owners acquired their triggers from Gun Broker or the Rare Breed Triggers website. It is unknown how the ATF acquired the customers’ information. It is possible the ATF received the customers’ information from credit card processors or shipping companies.”

And there’s a lot more, with all of the ATF activity sliding across the surface of the deeper issue – our rights – like waterbugs on a poisoned pond.

“The ATF acquired several Rare Breed FRT-15 triggers in early 2021. During a criminal examination at the ATF’s Firearms and Ammunition Technology Division (FATD), an ATF examiner used a zip tie to fix the trigger to the rear. The ATF employee stated that the rifle equipped with the FRT-15 fired five shots automatically. He ruled that the FRT-15 was a machine gun. What most likely happened with that trigger was that it was pushed forward and reset. The elasticity of the plastic zip tie caused the trigger to be pulled again. This theory points to multiple functions of the trigger.”

To which anyone who understands and respects his neighbor’s rights can ask, “So what?”

Author John Crump added:

“After the ATF completed its examination, it issued a cease-and-desist to Rare Breed Triggers in July 2021. Rare Breed ignored the cease-and-desist order and kept selling the triggers to gun owners. The company believed that it was breaking no laws.”

And this is where one can point out that the old adage, “Are we a nation of laws or a nation of men?” misses the mark, because, as long as state-based “statutes” are mis-labeled “laws” in an attempt to falsely put them on the same level of morality as Natural Law, then we always must note that MEN WRITE THE LAWS.

Any government-based system of so-called “justice” infringes on Natural Law by forcing people to pay for the government, and always is focused not on the word of God, but the diktats of men who are no better than occupying armies or mobsters.

Added Crump:

“The Florida-based company filed a lawsuit against the ATF in the Middle District of Florida Federal Court. The case was dismissed without prejudice for missing a filing date.

Around the same time, Big Daddy Unlimited (BDU) started selling the Wide Open Trigger (WOT). The WOT operated in a similar way to the FRT-15. This similarity put the WOT in the ATF’s crosshairs. The similarity also led to a lawsuit for patent infringement. Last February, The ATF served BDU with a cease-and-desist order and seized the company’s WOT and FRT-15 inventory. Shortly after, the ATF sent a law enforcement notice to police departments around the country stating that some forced reset triggers were machine guns. The notice had a picture of a Rare Breed FRT-15 and a WOT.”

So, we have before us not only reported infringements on the right to keep and bear arms, but breaches of the Fourth Amendment prohibition against unwarranted searches (and how, exactly, did the ATF get this info, continuing a long history of fed data collection by doing so?).

In addition to breaches of the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition against unwarranted seizure of private property, breaches of the Fifth Amendment prohibition against the deprivation of property without due process of law, breaches of the Sixth Amendment assurance of a jury trial, the Eighth Amendment prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment (this is punishment without trial or even an accusation of a crime), and the Fourteenth Amendment reiteration of the right to due process.

Even IF Congress had written laws to allow the ATF to engage in these actions, they would be neither constitutional nor moral.

And, as noted, Crump has followed-up his report, adding info from an anonymous ATF whistleblower:

“All triggers listed for confiscation were purchased from Gun Broker. These purchases were from multiple sellers on the website. The source did not know how the ATF headquarters acquired all the purchaser’s (sic) information. The ATF could have tracked numerous sellers and got the customers’ information from them. At least some of the information could have been obtained by using controlled buys from the sellers targeted on Gun Broker. Then the ATF could have pressured the sellers to turn over the information. AmmoLand News reached out to Gun Broker for the previous article but still hasn’t gotten a response.”

And he adds:

“The Special Agents do not have discretion whether to contact the buyer or not. The order from ATF HQ demanded the field offices act.”

This is shocking and insufferable, and turning to a politically-connected court system merely asks the government monster to check itself.

And to think that the agents do not have discretion is to slightly misread the situation.

They are individuals. As it was with General Gage’s soldiers, each member of that attacking force is not a robot. He is a self-acting individual. He has a soul and a conscience. Each person has the moral responsibility to decide whether to take a job that is, at its most fundamental level, a part of an oppressive, anti-human machine, or to be peaceful.

And each of us, once aware of the improper decisions of these agents, has a moral imperative to protest and resist.
