Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) says, “no one has ever referred to President Obama as a white supremacist.”

The remark came on 'Washington Journal' Thursday after a C-SPAN caller complained that California Democrats call those that disagree with their politics on immigration 'white supremacists.'

“As to immigration and to saying that anyone who disagrees with this or that immigration policy is a white supremacist, I don’t know – I certainly don’t think that reflects the Democratic Party,” Rep. Brad Sherman said.

“The fact is, President Obama deported many, many people - was called by some the ‘deporter-in-chief’, no one has ever referred to President Obama as a white supremacist. So there’s a range of opinion on immigration,” Sherman continued.

Sherman went on to explain that he supports immigration reform but that it would be “morally wrong” to deport 11 to 12 million illegal aliens.
