Rep. Todd Rokita, (R-Ind.), is telling Rep. Nancy Pelosi, “We’re going to take our crumbs.”
Rokita is proposing the "Creating Relief and Useful Middle-Class Benefits and Savings" -- or "CRUMBS" Act. The measure would make bonuses received by workers in 2018 tax-free up to $2,500.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, (D-Calif.), referred to company bonuses given to employees as "crumbs" last month while criticizing the tax plan.
“This is a Washington liberal attitude, that they know how to run your life better than we do, and it’s wrong,” Rokita told Fox News over the weekend.
“So what the CRUBS Act does is say, ‘you know what Nancy and all you Washington elites? We’re going to take our crumbs, we’re going to get this done’ and – I think it’s a simple bill, I think there’s room for it in our agenda this year.”
