In a recent video showcasing that literally Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) doesn’t know what the word ‘literally’ means, Ohmar claimed she’s one of the millions “literally shackled” by college debt.  Oh, and that’s why taxpayers should pay it off.

“We have 45 million people who are part of a generation that is burdened by student debt, literally shackled by it, and we are going to make sure that we are freeing them from that shackle. So that they can have the kind of prosperity that should be guaranteed by the educations that they've received. I myself am one of these 45 million, Omar said in Facebook live event on Monday.

“So it is really important for us to make sure that when we're hearing the struggles that young people are going through, particularly my generation, that we can do everything that we can to make sure that we are freeing them from the shackles of student debt.”

During the video event Omar moved her hands freely while speaking, no shackles were seen.

Omar, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Pramila Jayapal recently introduced a measure that would cancel federal student debt at taxpayer expense.
