The "Maxine Waters Stupid Quote of the Week” is out. And judging by what she said, she should look into a career in stand-up comedy, because what she said is laughable at best.

It’s also comical, and not that surprising really, that Waters was named one of Glamour magazine’s “Women of the Year” for 2017, so when Waters was asked about it by Bloomberg’s Julie Hyman, she of course had a lot to say.

Let the hilarity and delusions begin.

“I encourage people, and I inspire people,” Waters said referring to her constant call for President Trump to be impeached, “and I show people that you do not have to be intimidated.”

Who’s intimidating you? If someone has been, you should probably report it. Oh, you’re full of crap? I should’ve guessed.

This walking commercial for idiocy also had some other interesting things to say during the interview.

“Let me just say this — I have learned over the years that I have been in this business that there are few people who are willing to speak truth to power and to talk about what really is bothering our society and our democracy,” Waters shot out of her word hole.

It’s very telling that Waters called being a public servant a “business.” I agree with her. Politicians have had no problem turning Congress into a business in order to line their own pockets. However, she is one of those businesspeople.

Waters constantly uses the phrase “truth to power,” but the funniest part is that Waters definitely loves the power. The truth? Well, that’s another story.
