During Wednesday's ongoing circus, otherwise known as the impeachment inquiry hearings, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) held U.S. Ambassador to the European Union (EU) Gordon Sondland's feet to the fire in front of the House Intelligence Committee.

"I've never seen anything like this!" Jordan exclaimed after Sondland responded that the announcement that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky supposedly made concerning an investigation into possible quid pro quo "never" happened.

Jordan continued his full-court press of Sondland and asked him further about the supposed Zelensky announcement.

"When the Chairman [Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.)] asked you about the security assistance dollars, you said there needed to be a public announcement from Zelensky," Jordan said to Sondland before asking his question. "I'm asking you a simple question. When did that happen?"

"Never did," Sondland replied.
