Apparently, according to The Penguin — excuse me, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) — the violent communist group Antifa…wait for it…is a “myth.”

No, Nadler wasn’t trolling. He legitimately believes the violent rioting happening in places like Portland, Oregon, led in part by Antifa, “is a myth that’s being spread only in Washington D.C.”

Nadler’s comment came when YouTuber Austen “Fleccas” Fletcher, who routinely covers protests on the West Coast on his "Fleccas Talks" channel, asked whether the 73-year-old congressman would condemn the violence being carried out during “peaceful protests” by Antifa.

“There’s violence across the whole country,” Fletcher said before asking his question. “Do you disavow the violence from Antifa that’s happening in Portland right now?”

“That’s a myth that’s being spread only in Washington D.C.,” Nadler responded.

“About Antifa and Portland?” Fletcher asked in order to confirm Nadler actually meant what he said.

“Yes,” Nadler said as his handler whisked him away from the exchange and into a nearby vehicle.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Fletcher initially posted the exchange on his Instagram page Thursday evening and his since decided to post it to his YouTube channel.
