Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mich.) thinks that people in the U.S. should be "more fearful of white men."

In a recently resurfaced interview with Qatari state-owned media company Al Jazeera from back in February 2018, Omar was asked about her being elected to Congress and her thoughts about the political climate in present-day America.

While first discussing the so-called "travel ban" that President Trump had enacted last year, which temporarily suspended entry from countries including Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen that had known connections to terrorism, Omar falsely claimed that, "No one from any of these countries has ever posed a threat within this country."

Omar went on to call President Trump a racist and said that she "would come very short of holding [him] exclusively responsible for the rise." And by rise, she meant the "rise" of anti-Muslim and Islamic sentiment in the nation.

"I think there isn't a debate about whether Trump is a racist," said Omar. "I think he fits into every 'ism,' but what is important is for people to actually understand the implication of those types of descriptions that he attaches to those countries."

On whether Americans are justified in fearing Islam in light of past radical Islamic terrorist attacks, Omar went on her own racist rant, proclaiming that,

Our Country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing the most deaths within our country.

In the same breath, she called for the “profiling, monitoring and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men":

"And so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe -- Americans safe inside of this country -- we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men," Omar declared.
