Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is now claiming that “white nationalism” is to blame for overcrowded border detention facilities overrun with migrants who’ve crossed into the United States illegally from Mexico.
In a confusing tweet that, ironically, seems to echo President Trump’s claim that there’s a crisis happening at our Southwest border, Omar fingers “white nationalism” as the reason for the overcrowding.
This is abhorrent and inhumane.

It's without a doubt a reflection of what white nationalism is doing to our country. As a country, we have to acknowledge that this is how people are being treated here and decide that we are better and we must do better. https://t.co/5YNAJFNZo7
All this despite the oft-ignored fact that the same overcrowding problem also occurred heavily under President Obama, the fact that the left's open-border policies continue to encourage rampant illegal immigration in the first place, and the fact that Democrats – not Republicans or “white nationalists” – were the ones who recently cut funding and decreased the number of beds at immigration detention centers that could have helped alleviate the temporary housing problem.
