Democratic Caucus Chairman Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) believes illegal immigrants should receive compensation for their treatment at the border.

"To have these children depart, separated, is one of the most reprehensible things I’ve ever witnessed in my 20 years of service here in the House of Representatives," Crowley said on Wednesday. "These children need to be reunited with their parents immediately. Once again, the administration’s actions in the first place, with the inability to restore these families, is reprehensible."

Here’s where he goes off the rails.

"The damage that has been done to these children will be life-long, to these family units will be life-long, as well," he continued. "In fact, I suggest they need to be compensated for what this administration did to them. The first form of compensation needs to be the full reunification of these families."

Should the immigrants be reunited with their families? Definitely. But Crowley seems to infer that illegals are deserving of more than just a reunification. The "compensation" he is speaking of could very well use tax payer money as a compensation for their decision to cross the border illegally.

Crowley won’t be in Congress much longer to lead this suggested action, as he lost in a primary election to 28-year-old democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Cortez's views on immigration are equally ridiculous, if not worse than Crowley’s. In fact, she’s vowed to abolish ICE.
