Here’s the real “war on women,” for those who give a crap beyond squawking about mythical gender wage gaps and the right to kill children.

A woman in Afghanistan was reportedly stoned to death in what might be one of the most horrific videos on the internet. The footage is so disturbing, in fact, that I won’t put it in this blog – but here’s a link to the Daily Mail article, if you really need to see it. I suggest against it.

In the footage, the screaming victim can be seen cowering in a hole in the ground as the angry mob pelts her with rocks in an attack that’s being blamed by some, including the Afghani government, on the Taliban, according to the Daily Mail.

“The Taliban claim the footage is from 2015 but activists do not believe them and the country's Independent Human Rights Commission is investigating the case,” the article adds.

Contrarily, Laila Haidari, a Afghan activist, claims the woman was killed just a few days ago in the Ghor province in central Afghanistan.

“The intensity of their violence and what they can do against women in the absence of law and order is clearly visible,” she said. “We have to think about how we can stand up against this approaching horror.”

It’s not clear why the woman was killed, but the mob can be heard yelling “Allahu Akbar” as they beat her with stones while she screams.

A Taliban spokesperson, in some bizarre effort to deny having killed yet another woman, claimed the footage is several years old and shows the stoning of a young woman accused of adultery after being pledged to a man she didn’t want to marry and getting caught trying to run off with her 19-year-old boyfriend. That story was widely reported back in 2015.

The spokesman added that stoning as a punishment for women who step out of line “cannot be rejected by any Muslim.”
