Rasmussen Poll: Trump's Presidential Approval Rating Reaches Near Two-Year High

13.7k views

Oh, what a difference a week makes. President Donald Trump’s State of the Union (SOTU) address was received so positively that the Commander in Chief is reaching heights not seen in almost two years!

A little less than a week after Trump delivered his much ballyhooed yearly address to the nation, and just 10 days after his approval rating registered at 43 percent on Rasmussen Reports' Daily Presidential Tracking Poll, Trump’s rating has now reached 52 percent.

According to Rasmussen:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-seven percent (47%) disapprove.

Trump's highest level of approval since shortly after his inauguration.

The latest figures include 39% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 39% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of 0.

The Presidential Approval Index rating is the difference between a president’s approval and disapproval ratings.

Depending on how a president’s SOTU address is received, their approval rating can jump or dip drastically in a short period of time. Don’t let that fact take away from the fact that the 52 percent approval rating that Trump is currently at is the highest his rating has been since March 2017.

Trump’s stance against late-term abortion, a strong jobs report, and a robust economy could also all be contributing factors for the rise in his numbers.
