In case you missed it, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was either called out for lying or praised for saying that the Biden regime’s COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci a liar — depending on who you're talking to or which outlet you're watching.

Well, it appears that Paul is going to take matters further after announcing on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Tuesday that he will be “sending a letter to the Department of Justice [DOJ], asking for a criminal referral because [Fauci] lied to Congress.”

“We have scientists that will line up by the dozens to say that the research he was funding was gain-of-function,” Paul told host Sean Hannity. “He’s doing this because he has a self-interest to cover his tracks and to cover his connection to Wuhan lab.”

While Paul admits that there’s “conjecture” as to the specific origins of the Chinese coronavirus, he maintains that his focus against Fauci is that the good doctor lied about funding the lab that carried out “gain-of-function” research, which may have directly led to the development of COVID-19.
